Off-site Backup Requirements[data servers]

Operating Systems:

  • Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003
  • Red Hat Linux 6.0 or above*
  • Solaris 2.5 or above
  • Novell NetWare 5.1 or above
  • Apple Mac OS X v10.x
  • All other platforms supporting Java2 JRE Standard Edition, v1.3.1 or later

System Requirements:

  • Memory: 128MB
  • Disk Space: 100MB
  • Network Protocol: TCP/IP (http/https)

Bandwidth Requirements:

At this time Crocker Communications does not require the use of specific bandwidth. However, we strongly suggest using a broadband type of connection such as DSL, Cable, or T1 to minimize transfer time.

*Standard C++ libraries for backwards compatibility compiler (compat-libstdc++-x.x-y.y.y.y.i386.rpm) must be installed if you are not using a Linux 2.2 kernel. These libraries are required to run all Java applications.
